Job summary

Commonwealth Building Materials, Inc. - Norfolk is seeking a CDL Driver to safely operate a commercial vehicle and deliver building materials while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires loading/unloading materials, adhering to DOT regulations, and maintaining compliance records in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a valid CDL (Class B at minimum, Class A preferred), a clean MVR, and strong teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Minimum Class B License; Class A strongly preferred.
• Three year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect truck/trailer for defects for safe operation.
• Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload at job sites.
• Deliver materials to assigned area while prioritizing safety and customer service.
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
