Job summary

Commonwealth Building Materials, Inc. in Lynchburg is seeking a delivery driver to safely operate a commercial vehicle, load/unload materials, and deliver to various job sites with a focus on exceptional customer service.

The role requires a valid CDL (Class B at minimum, Class A preferred) and a clean MVR; strong knowledge of DOT regulations and the ability to lift heavy materials are essential. This is an on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Minimum Class B License, Class A strongly preferred.
• Must have a clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Must have overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect truck/trailer for defects and ensure safe operation.
• Load/unload building materials and deliver to job sites, prioritizing safety.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Report any accidents; ability to lift 80–100+ lbs and provide excellent customer service.
