Job summary

Homestead Building Solutions, part of the US LBM family, seeks a CDL Driver I to transport building materials to job sites across Maryland and nearby states. Responsibilities include safe driving, loading, unloading, and customer interactions with strict adherence to DOT regulations.

The role requires a Class A or B license, pre/post-trip inspections, and accurate logkeeping. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and 1–2 years CDL experience, with lumber/materials experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years CDL experience preferred.
• Experience transporting lumber and building materials.
• Basic math, reading orders, and completing forms.
• Knowledge of federal DOT regulations and HOS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A or B vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Deliver to active construction sites and completed locations; city-based and interstate travel may be required.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections.
• Provide professional customer service and relay messages at job sites.
• Load/unload materials and verify delivery accuracy.
• Maintain truck cleanliness and assist warehouse stocking.
