Job summary

Clayton Homes in Morristown, TN is seeking an experienced CDL driver to safely deliver products and materials to customers and job sites. You will work closely with production management to coordinate loads and ensure on-time, compliant transport.

The role requires a Class A CDL, three or more years of professional driving including mountain routes, an excellent MVR, and solid customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required.
• Three or more years of professional driving experience, including mountain driving.
• Excellent driving record (MVR) – no DUI, suspensions, or DOT violations in past 3 years.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic mechanical experience.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports Clayton Homes products and coordinates with production management for load movements.
• Completes and maintains daily truck logs and reports expenses.
• Completes IFTA reports as required.
• Performs daily vehicle inspections and ensures regulatory compliance (FMCSA/USDOT).
• Loads and unloads products and secures required signatures on shipping documents.
• Coordinates with customers and sales reps to arrange deliveries and maintain service standards.
