Job summary

Clayton Homes is seeking a CDL Delivery Driver to transport components and materials to jobsites. You will ensure safe delivery, proper handling, and compliance with traffic laws while supporting the company’s mission to provide attainable housing.

Candidates should have a valid CDL and medical card, knowledge of building materials, strong communication skills, and at least 2 years of commercial driving experience. This is a full-time on-site role with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of common building materials used in residential, multi-family and commercial construction
• Valid commercial driver’s license and medical card
• Attention to detail, takes pride in quality of work
• Efficient and able to complete assignments within a given deadline
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Communicates effectively with team members
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in driving commercial vehicles preferred

Responsibilities

• The Delivery Driver - CDL is responsible for transporting components and materials safely to specific locations
• Ensures all components and materials documented on invoices is delivered safely to jobsites
• Ensures proper storage and handling of components and materials
• Ensures all traffic laws are adhered to
• Follows safety procedures
• Demonstrates a commitment to the quality improvement process and the philosophy of continuous improvement; identifies and responds actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers; participates as a team player in all phases of the organization; is open and responsive to change
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
