Job summary

Clayton is seeking a CDL Driver for our Winfield, Alabama operations. The role involves coordinating with management for the safe and timely delivery of products across regional routes in Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee, and occasional OTR runs in other states.

Minimum requirements include a Class A CDL, three+ years of professional driving experience including mountain routes, a clean driving record, and strong customer service and communication skills. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of professional driving experience, including mountain driving.
• Class A CDL required with an excellent driving record (MVR).
• High school diploma or GED; prior customer service experience is a plus; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complies with USDOT/FMCSA rules and regulations.
• Complete and maintain daily truck logs and IFTA reports.
• Coordinate with production management for safe, timely deliveries.
• Load and unload products safely; secure signatures and load documents.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and fueling; ensure vehicle is clean and compliant.
• Interact with customers and sales to coordinate load movements.
• Report unsafe conditions and incidents promptly.
• Work beyond standard hours including weekends as needed.
