Job summary

Commonwealth Building Materials, Inc. in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a delivery driver to safely operate a commercial vehicle, load/unload materials, and deliver to job sites while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
• Minimum Class B License, Class A strongly preferred
• Three year clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong communication skills (verbal & written)

Responsibilities

• Inspect truck/trailer for defects and safe operation
• Load/unload building materials onto flatbed or boom truck
• Deliver materials to designated areas while prioritizing safety
• Maintain compliance records for state and federal regulations
• Report accidents involving driver or equipment
• Lift heavy materials (up to 80 lbs) as needed
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism
