Job summary

TAL Building Centers in Vancouver, WA is hiring a delivery driver to load, transport, and unload building materials for customers and pros in the Pacific Northwest. Onsite at our store, you will operate trucks with appropriate endorsements and adhere to safety regulations while building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications include a valid CDL (A or B) with air brake endorsement, 21+ years old, English proficiency, and a current medical certification.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement is required.
• Must be qualified to drive truck and trailer, tractor and trailer or crane operator.
• 5 years’ experience preferred.
• Current valid medical certification.
• Must be able to pass a road test.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver, and unload materials as a service to customers.
• Prevent damage and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Operate various types of equipment and vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
• Report vehicles and equipment needing service and repair.
• Maintain necessary trip logs, vehicle inspection reports and other required documentation.
• Drive truck to destination, following regulations and road conditions.
• Verify load against shipping papers.
• Prepare receipts for load and returns.
• Assist in keeping the yard clean and orderly; report unsafe conditions.
