Job summary

TAL Building Centers in Vancouver, WA, is seeking a delivery driver with a CDL to load and deliver materials to customers at locations across the Pacific Northwest. You will operate trucks and related equipment, ensuring safe, compliant transport of goods and timely deliveries.

Starting with 21+ eligibility, strong English reading/speaking skills, and a valid medical certification, you will join a team that values safety, accountability, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement.
• Must be qualified to drive truck and trailer, tractor and trailer or crane operator.
• 5 years’ experience preferred.
• Must have a current valid medical certification.
• Must be able to pass a road test.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver, and unload materials as a service to customers.
• Prevent damage and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Operate various types of equipment and vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
• Report vehicles and equipment needing service and repair.
• Maintain necessary trip logs, vehicle inspection reports and other required documentation.
• Drive truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and local roads.
• Verify load against shipping papers.
• Prepare receipts for load picked up and for returns.
• Assist in keeping the yard clean and orderly; report unsafe conditions.
• Assist in building loads, as required.
• Develop an understanding of basic products and commodities.
• Maintain contact with supervisor for delivery instructions.
