Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a CDL Driver to safely operate tractor-trailer rigs under DOT regulations, transporting equipment and crews to sites in Utah. The role may involve rigging or crating work and requires securement of loads during loading and unloading.

You will collaborate with others to meet safety standards, stay compliant, and maintain professional conduct on all assignments at MEI facilities and job sites.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required or equivalent experience.
• Valid Class A CDL with Air brakes and combo endorsements.
• At least 2 years driving experience CDL level.
• 3+ years experience in construction or related field preferred.
• Experience with load securement and safe hauling practices.
• Ability to use basic hand, power, and pneumatic tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily.
• Operate flatbed, SD, RGN and dry van trailers safely under DOT rules.
• Transport equipment and crews to job sites in a safe manner.
• Maintain electronic logging as required.
• Secure, tarp, tie-down, load and unload equipment.
• Perform housekeeping and site cleanup as assigned.
• Assist with rigging and crating work as applicable.
• Test rigging for safety and reliability and adjust as needed.
