Job summary
MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a CDL Driver to safely operate tractor-trailer rigs under DOT regulations to transport equipment and crews to job sites. May also be involved with rigging or crating work. This role requires loading and unloading, load securement, tarping, and daily paperwork while maintaining a strong safety mindset.
The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety, and capability with related equipment and tools to support field operations.
Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent is required.
- Valid CDL Class A with air brakes and combo endorsements.
- Minimum two years of CDL driving experience.
- Basic knowledge of operating equipment (forklifts, man lifts, etc.).
- Experience with load securement and safe hauling practices.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools and hand, power and pneumatic tools.
Responsibilities
- Pre-trip and post-trip inspections on a daily basis.
- Operate CDL tractor-trailer under DOT regulations.
- Secure loads, tarping, tie-down and loading/unloading equipment.
- Adhere to safety requirements when hauling loads.
- Assist with rigging, crating and related setup as needed.
- Maintain daily paperwork and safety compliance.
- Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
