Job summary

CTDI is hiring a CDL Class A delivery driver in Tolleson, AZ. Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, accurate logs and documents, securing cargo, and loading/unloading as needed.

You will ensure safety, comply with DOT rules, and deliver professional service to customers. Requirements: CDL Class A with endorsements, 1+ year delivery experience, clean driving record, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and appropriate endorsements.
• 1+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Complete vehicle inspection sheets, logs, bills of lading, and trip records.
• Ensure cargo is loaded, checked, and secured for transit.
• Assist with loading/unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
• Obtain signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitor maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provide excellent customer service and professional representation.

Responsible for transporting goods and materials across long distances, typically across state lines.

1.00 dollar per mile/ 1500-mile guarantee a week for 1 year

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports.
• Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit.
• Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
• Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing the company positively.
• Responsible for following all Federal and State DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and appropriate endorsements.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.
• 1+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of OTR driving experience.
• Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Possess specialized skills for managing hazardous materials.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Flexible shifts with the capability to undertake overnight trips 1-2 nights per week. (**is this more like 3-4 because of the long distance**).
• Comfortable sitting and driving for extended periods.
• Various weather conditions.
• The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 85 lbs., if necessary.
