Job summary

CTDI is seeking a CDL Class A driver for OTR duties in the United States. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service while delivering freight efficiently and on time.

The position offers weekly pay, a monthly incentive bonus, comprehensive benefits, and a family-oriented workplace. Overnight trips up to 4 times per week may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and endorsements.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.
• 1+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Completes vehicle inspection sheets, fuel logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, and trip records.
• Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and secured during transit.
• Assists with loading/unloading cargo to ensure secure transit.
• Obtains signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitors maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Delivers freight while providing excellent customer service and professional representation of CTDI.
• Follows all Federal and State DOT regulations and warehouse safety rules.
• Other duties as assigned.

The CDL Class A Over the Road (OTR) Driver is responsible for transporting goods and materials across long distances, typically across state lines. CDL Driver - OTR

• Quarterly Safety Incentive Bonuses up to $300!
• Morning Start (6am-9am) Monday to Friday, Home on weekends!

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports.
• Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit.
• Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
• Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing the company positively.
• Responsible for following all Federal and State DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and appropriate endorsements.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.
• 1+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of OTR driving experience.
• Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Possess specialized skills for managing hazardous materials.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Flexible shifts with the capability to undertake overnight trips up to 4 times a week.
• Comfortable sitting and driving for extended periods.
• Various weather conditions.
• The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 85 lbs., if necessary.
