Job summary

CTDI is seeking a skilled CDL A driver in Maryland to operate commercial routes for major telecom and internet providers. The role emphasizes safety, on-time performance, and professional customer service in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Shifts are 1st, with early morning hours and weekday only. Weekly pay, an incentive program, and comprehensive benefits accompany this position, along with opportunities for growth within a large, global logistics network.

Qualifications

  • Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and endorsements.
  • Must obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a driver qualification file.
  • 2+ years of recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliability, adaptability and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects and prepares truck before and after trips.
  • Complete vehicle inspection sheets and shipping documents accurately.
  • Ensure cargo is loaded, secured, and checked for transit.
  • Assist with loading/unloading to ensure secure transport.
  • Obtain necessary signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
  • Monitor truck maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and professional communication.
  • Comply with Federal/State DOT regulations and warehouse safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsible for operating commercial vehicles with a Class A driver’s license.

1st Shift

4:00AM - 12:30PM, Monday - Friday

Pay

$31.99 per hour, OT eligible

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
  • Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports.
  • Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit.
  • Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
  • Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
  • Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing the company positively.
  • Responsible for following all Federal and State DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Experience
  • Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and appropriate endorsements.
  • Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.
  • 2+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
  • Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills And Experience
  • Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
  • Strong commitment to customer service.
  • Possess specialized skills for managing hazardous materials.
Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
  • The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 85 lbs., if necessary.
  • Flexible shifts with the capability to undertake overnight trips 1-2 nights per week.
  • Comfortable sitting for extended periods.
