Job summary

CTDI is seeking a Morning Shift Truck Driver (Class A CDL) in Missouri to transport goods across state lines, inspect vehicles, and ensure cargo is safely loaded, secured, and documented. You will follow DOT regulations and communicate professionally with customers.

Earn $0.60 per mile with a $5,000 sign-on, weekly pay, and monthly safety incentives. Flexible shifts include overnight trips 1–2 nights per week; benefits include health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and appropriate endorsements.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.
• 1+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Completes vehicle inspection sheets, logs, bills of lading, trip records, and expense reports.
• Ensures cargo is loaded, checked, and secured during transit.
• Oversees loading and unloading of cargo for secure transit.
• Obtains signatures on shipping/receiving documents.

Morning Shift

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports.
• Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit.
• Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
• Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing the company positively.
• Responsible for following all Federal and State DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and appropriate endorsements.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.
• 1+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of OTR driving experience.
• Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Possess specialized skills for managing hazardous materials.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Travel across various states.
• Flexible shifts with the capability to undertake overnight trips 1-2 nights per week. ( is this more like 3-4 because of the long distance ).
• Comfortable sitting and driving for extended periods.
• Various weather conditions.
• The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 85 lbs., if necessary.
