Job summary

1915 South is hiring a CDL Driver to join our team in the southeast. This role requires operating heavy trailers with GVW over 26,000 lbs, performing pre/post-trip inspections, and maintaining logs.

You will drive on a full-time evening/night schedule and must pass CDL and DOT physical requirements, as well as a drug test and background check. Qualifications

• Proven experience with CDL commercial driving
• Ability to operate and safely drive heavy vehicles (GVW >26,000 lbs)
• Proficient with GPS/routing systems and reading maps
• Must be able to work evening and night shifts with a full-time 40-hour week
• Must pass all CDL driving requirements and DOT physical certification
• Must pass drug test and background check

Responsibilities

• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive vehicles with GVW over 26,000 lbs
• Perform inspections and clean vehicle before and after each trip; maintain maintenance as needed
• Keep managers notified of any maintenance or delivery issues
• Keep documentation of driving and delivery logs
• Adhere to company rules and traffic laws
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and prioritize safety at all times
