Job summary

Mid-Cape Home Centers in Middleborough, MA is seeking a CDL Driver I to safely transport materials to job sites and storage locations. You will maintain Class A or B licenses, inspect and service trucks, load and unload lumber and building materials, and ensure accurate documentation.

The role requires DOT compliance, pre/post-trip inspections, on-time deliveries, and professional customer interactions at sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers.
• 1-2 years CDL experience preferred.
• Experience transporting and handling lumber and building materials required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A or B commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Delivers to active construction sites and completed build locations; regional travel may be required.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections and maintains logs.
• Provides professional customer service and relays messages at job sites.
• Organizes and secures loads and verifies orders before departure and on delivery.
• Adheres to DOT regulations and permits.
• Delivers and unloads materials, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Operates truck-mounted forklift for loading/unloading.
• Keeps truck clean and organized; assists in warehouse stocking.
