Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks a dedicated hazardous and non-hazardous materials transporter. You will ensure DOT-compliant packaging, manifests, and permits, and perform daily inspections of vehicles and trailers. The role focuses on safe local driving, proper documentation, and coordination with customers to resolve loading issues.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, commercial driving experience, and a valid CDL B. Benefits include PTO, health/dental/vision, and a 401(k).

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip vehicle and trailer inspections to ensure safety.
• Review shipment records and paperwork for accuracy and compliance with DOT rules.
• Drive locally while meeting weight limits, logs, permits, and insurance requirements.
• Coordinate with customers on load conditions and paperwork accuracy.
• Report moving violations or incidents to supervisor promptly.
• Assist with loading/unloading and maintain site housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
