Job summary

PODS seeks a delivery driver responsible for the timely delivery and pickup of containers at customer sites. You will travel in a commercial truck with a lift mechanism, ensuring safe loading/unloading and maintaining rapport with customers.

Responsibilities include daily vehicle inspections, operation of forklifts/cranes, paperwork coordination, and occasional field repairs. Strong safety mindset and readiness to train are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL Class B license with no air brake restriction required.
• Must maintain a current/valid driver license.
• DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain (minimum 1 year certification).
• Attend 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a lift mechanism to load/unload containers safely.
• Perform and log daily pre/post trip inspections of vehicle and lift.
• Accept add-on deliveries to meet business needs.
• Use handheld computer for delivery verification/navigation.
• Operate forklift and/or overhead crane.
• Clean and inspect containers for delivery readiness.
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with customers.
• Communicate with Driver Lead/Market Manager; prepare driver notes as needed.
• Perform repairs of containers and lifts in the field/storage center.
• Provide backup for storage center functions.
• Maintain cleanliness of truck cab.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
