Job summary

Riverside Health in Newport News, VA, is seeking a transportation associate to coordinate and execute all resident transportation needs, including medical appointments and facility outings.

Qualifications

• Drives personal vehicle for RHS business 25%+ of the time to perform essential functions
• Valid Drivers License Required

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and executes all transportation needs for residents to medical appointments, facility outings, etc.
• Assists departments with transportation needs for residents and prospects.
• Maintains transportation and maintenance logs for facility vehicles and logs residents participation on outings.
• Notifies Transportation Coordinator or Director of Resident Services when vehicle maintenance is needed.
• Plans transportation routes to decrease mileage and gas consumption.
• Completes paper work ensuring records are accurate and timely.

Job description

Newport News, Virginia Hiring Range $15.60 - $20.25/Hourly.

Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.

Overview Coordinates and executes all transportation needs for residents to include medical appointments, facility outings etc.

Assists all departments with transportation needs of residents and/or potential prospects.

Responsible for vehicle maintenance and general upkeep.

Responsible for helping transportation coordinator get vehicles in for maintenance and service calls.

What you will do:

• Demonstrates positive customer service behaviors consistently.
• Strives to meet/exceed the needs of the facility's customers/residents by demonstrating flexibility and sense of urgency to create a service excellence experience.
• Responsible for assuring safe practices in accordance with RHS policies and procedures.
• Responsible for notifying Transportation Coordinator or Director of Resident Services when required vehicle maintenance is needed.
• Demonstrates the ability to plan transportation routes to decrease vehicle mileage and gas consumption.
• Completes paper work to ensure that all records are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Responsible for maintaining transportation and maintenance logs for facility vehicles as well as logging residents participation on facility outings.
• Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and accomplish assignments with accuracy and timeliness (meeting work schedules, work assignments and completed by deadlines, received minimal customer complaints).
• Maintains positive interactions with fellow team members, residents and visitors.
• Assists customers with billing inquiries, questions or concerns.
• Provides follow up in a timely manner.
