Job summary

Riverside Health in Newport News, VA is seeking a Transportation Associate to coordinate and execute all transportation needs for residents, including medical appointments and facility outings. The role supports multiple departments and ensures vehicles are well-maintained for safe, reliable service.

Applicants must have a CDL, AED and First Aid certifications on hire, plus a valid driver's license. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with 2 years of driving experience.

• Drives personal vehicle for RHS business 25% or more of the time to perform essential functions of the job
• Valid Drivers License Required

• Responsible for assuring safe practices in accordance with RHS policies and procedures.
• Responsible for notifying Transportation Coordinator or Director of Resident Services when required vehicle maintenance is needed.
• Demonstrates the ability to plan transportation routes to decrease vehicle mileage and gas consumption.
• Completes paper work to ensure that all records are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Responsible for maintaining transportation and maintenance logs for facility vehicles as well as logging residents participation on facility outings.
• Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and accomplish assignments with accuracy and timeliness (meeting work schedules, work assignments and completed by deadlines, received minimal customer complaints).
• Maintains positive interactions with fellow team members, residents and visitors.
• Assists customers with billing inquiries, questions or concerns.
• Provides follow up in a timely manner.

Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.

Responsible for helping transportation coordinator get vehicles in for maintenance and service calls.
