Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Driver License Examiner w/CDL to guide applicants through the licensing process and ensure safe travel. You will evaluate driving skills, administer tests, review documents, and process license products in a structured, public-facing role.

Responsibilities include performing driving evaluations, administering knowledge/tests, verifying identities, and ensuring compliance with safety and policy guidelines.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Driver License Examiner Assistant or equivalent Federal Government job title.
• Two years of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
• Active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver’s License and 21 years of age at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Driving Evaluation: determine applicant qualifications and assess vehicle condition for safe operation.
• License Testing: administer commercial and non-commercial knowledge, pre-trip, skills, and road tests.
• Document Review: examine identity documents, verify authenticity, and identify possible fraud.
• Customer Processing: provide licensing services, process applications, and issue license products.
• Safety Compliance: follow safety procedures, attend required training, and monitor the testing environment.
• Policy Adherence: apply customer service and fee waiver policies and ensure proper documentation.
