Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Driver II for Chelsea Public Schools in Chelsea, MA. You will drive a CDL-eligible vehicle, maintain safety standards, and serve guests with excellent customer service. The role includes daily inspections, logbook accuracy, and coordination with the Transportation Office.

This position requires a valid CDL Class B or C, 1 year+ driving experience, and the ability to pass a DOT medical exam and drug test. Benefits vary by location and include standard company programs.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ professional driving experience and vehicle maintenance experience preferred.
• Must communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
• Must hold a valid CDL Class B or C with clean driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical, medical card, and pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
• Defensive Driving Course completion may be required prior to driving.
• Endorsements for passenger or airbrake may be needed to operate all vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily vehicle inspection before and after routes.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle and customer friendly environment.
• Drive vehicles under 26,000 lb (GVW) and transport passengers or equipment as assigned.
• Adhere to safety rules, wear seat belts, and operate defensively.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a concierge for guests.
• Log trips accurately and coordinate with Transportation Office dispatch.
• Assist with occasional warehouse driving or clerical duties as needed.
• Report maintenance or safety issues immediately and follow SDS guidelines.
