The role involves long-distance driving, vehicle inspections, paperwork, placarding compliance, and clear communication with dispatchers and customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial Class A driving experience, including tanker experience.
• Valid driver’s license and Class A CDL license.
• Hazmat and tanker endorsements required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport goods/materials over long distances under DOT regulations.
• Drive trucks and operate pump equipment to load, unload, or disperse cargo.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
• Handle paperwork and maintenance tasks (manifests, logs, etc.).
• Ensure DOT placarding compliance.
• Communicate delivery status with dispatchers and customers.
• Maintain safety of coworkers, clients and the public.
• Follow maps and geographic directions.
• Complete additional assigned duties.

About the Role

The CDL Driver II will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and the client’s sites. Drivers will have the opportunity to operate a variety of manual and automatic transmission equipment including vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, vans, and flatbeds.

Primary Responsibilities

• Drive commercial vehicles to safely transport goods/materials over long distances according to established safety procedures and DOT regulations while meeting scheduled appointments.
• Drive trucks and operate specialized pump equipment on vehicles to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
• Administer administrative tasks and paperwork related to transportation of hazardous/non-hazardous materials and vehicle/equipment maintenance (e.g., manifests, bills of lading, medical waste tracking, logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspections, incident reports).
• Ensure the placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers regarding instructions, delivery status and any potential delays.
• Responsible for safety of fellow employees, clients and the public while operating company vehicles and/or performing any company activity.
• Interpret maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
• Complete additional assigned duties.

Position Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older, due to interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and Class A CDL license.
• Hazmat endorsement.
• Tanker endorsement.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial Class A driving experience, including tanker experience.
• Acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma / GED preferred.

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb for long periods of time.
• Ability to grab, grip, reach, push, pull, lift/carry 50 lbs.

Pay Transparency

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $25.10 - $33.37 USD per hour.
