Job summary

Reworld is seeking a CDL Driver II to transport non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and client sites. You will operate vacuum, roll‑off, vans, and flatbeds, performing pre/post trip inspections and ensuring DOT compliance.

The role requires 2+ years of Class A driving, tanker experience, and the ability to drive manual or automatic transmissions. Home daily with competitive hourly pay and strong benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid CDL Class A with tanker endorsement.
  • Minimum 2 years of commercial Class A driving experience, including tanker work.
  • Able to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Acceptable driving record and compliant with DOT regulations.
  • Home daily availability is required.

Responsibilities

  • Drive commercial vehicles to transport goods between facilities and client sites per safety procedures and DOT regulations.
  • Operate pump equipment on vehicles to load/unload cargo or materials.
  • Perform pre/post trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
  • Complete administrative tasks and paperwork related to transportation and vehicle maintenance.
  • Ensure DOT placarding and regulatory compliance are maintained.
  • Maintain communication with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
  • Prioritize safety of all employees, clients and the public while operating company vehicles.
  • Interpret maps and follow both written and verbal directions.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

About the role

The CDL Driver II will perform duties associated with transporting non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and the client's sites. Drivers will have the opportunity to operate a variety of manual and automatic transmission equipment including vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, roll‑off trucks, vans, and flatbeds.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Drive commercial vehicles to safely transport goods/materials over long distances according to established safety procedures and DOT regulations while meeting scheduled appointments.
  • Drive trucks and operate specialized pump equipment on vehicles to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials.
  • Perform pre/post trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Administrative tasks and paperwork related to transportation of hazardous/non‑hazardous materials and vehicle/equipment maintenance (manifests, bills of lading, medical waste tracking, logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspections, incident reports, etc.).
  • Ensure the placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations.
  • Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers regarding instructions, delivery status and any potential delays, etc.
  • Responsible for safety of fellow employees, clients and the public while operating company vehicles and/or performing any company activity.
  • Interpret maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
  • Complete additional assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years or older, due to interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations.
  • CDL Class A with tanker endorsement required.
  • Minimum 2 years of commercial Class A driving experience, including tanker experience.
  • Able to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma / GED preferred.
  • Hazmat endorsements preferred.
Physical Demands of the Role
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb for long periods of time.
  • Ability to grab, grip, reach, push, pull, lift/carry 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.
  • Consistently work in various weather conditions.
  • Visual activity and hearing.
Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $25.10 - $33.37 USD per hour.
