Higginbotham Brothers, established in 1881, supplies professional builders, remodelers, and DIYers with lumber and specialty building products across Texas and Oklahoma.

The CDL Driver I delivers materials to job sites, inspects and maintains trucks, reports shortages, assists in loading and storing materials, and provides excellent customer service. Typically, this role involves driving trucks with a capacity of more than three tons, including less experienced CDL or tractor trailer drivers.

Responsibilities include:

• Operate vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a valid Class A or B CDL license.
• Prepare DOT logs and ensure compliance with transportation guidelines.
• Organize, secure, and verify loads.
• Assist with loading/unloading, including forklift operation.
• Deliver materials to customer satisfaction.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Record merchandise returns and assist with inventory management.
• Follow safety and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively.
• Maintain truck cleanliness and participate in training.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic CDL experience, preferably with flatbeds or tractor trailers.
• 1-3 years of CDL experience for interstate commerce preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math, read orders, and communicate professionally.
• Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and current technology use.
• Class A and B CDL licenses required.
