Job description

Position Summary

MAG is searching for an exceptional SUAS Flight Instructor/Operator to provide training and service support to various customers. The ideal candidate can work independently, is highly organized, detail-oriented, personable, and exercises sound judgment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Provide initial qualification SUAS training for military students at various facilities both CONUS and OCONUS, including non-combat and austere environments. Flight instruction may be performed with students who have limited or no flight experience. Training is based on a structured POI aligned with Army standards. Instructors must tailor instruction to individual student progress, maintain accurate training records, document deficiencies, suggest corrective actions, and motivate students. The Master Trainer may modify course materials, conduct instructional design, and update training media.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to train small groups effectively.
  • Certified SUAS Raven and/or PUMA operator.
  • Maintain a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of the US Army SUAS Master Trainer Course.
  • Pass Class II FAA Medical Certification annually as per AR 95-20.
  • Graduate of the U.S. Army SUAS Master Trainer Course v2 or UAV Instructor/Operator (I/O) Graduate, proficient per TC 3-04.62 and AR 95-20.
  • Complete prescribed online courses (e.g., Cyber Security, Anti-Terrorism Level 1, iWatch, Threat Awareness) upon hire or as required.

Desired Requirements

  • Prior military or instructor experience preferred.

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain or hold an active Secret clearance.
