Job summary

Bennett Paving is looking for a reliable CDL Driver to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites and yards. A valid CDL and clean driving record are required, with 2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities include safe vehicle operation, loading/unloading, inspections, maintaining logs, and complying with DOT regulations. Weekend/evening shifts may be required; physical labor may be involved.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with current DOT medical card
• 2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred
• Experience hauling construction materials or equipment is a plus
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and assist with loading/unloading
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles (dump truck, flatbed, lowboy, or trailer) to transport materials and equipment
• Load and unload trucks using proper methods to prevent shifting, damage, or injury
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and DOT compliance
• Maintain delivery logs, mileage reports, and trip documentation
• Follow delivery schedules, GPS directions, and dispatch instructions
• Secure loads using chains, binders, tarps, or straps as needed
• Comply with all DOT, state, and federal transportation regulations
• Assist crews with labor or site tasks when deliveries are complete
• Report any mechanical issues, delays, or safety concerns promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicle
