Job summary

Synagro is seeking a local truck driver to transport material from client locations to processing sites. You will operate a truck and heavy equipment, perform loading and unloading, and maintain safe operations in all tasks at hand.

The role emphasizes adherence to DOT regulations, strong safety discipline, and excellent client interactions as a brand ambassador for the company. This is a on-site, local position with opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily truck logs and mileage reports per DOT/regulations.
• Serve as brand ambassador in every client interaction.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Load, unload, and deliver material to assigned destinations safely.
• Clean truck/equipment before leaving the site.
• Assist with other site needs as assigned.
• All work is local.

Job Summary

Responsible for safely transporting material from a client’s location and to an assigned destination for processing or disposal. Performs necessary tasks to load and unload material utilizing commercial trucks and heavy equipment.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

• Complete a daily truck log and submit reports of mileage covered on ELD. Comply with all DOT, state, local and in-house regulations, procedures, and rules.
• Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
• Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on the truck/equipment you are operating.
• Operate truck/equipment in a safe manner at all times by performing loading, unloading, and delivery of material to assigned destination.
• Clean truck/equipment before leaving the site.
• Assist with other site needs as assigned.
• All work is local.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Communication skills - verbal and written

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Valid Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) Class B.
• Minimum 6 months commercial driving/heavy or agricultural equipment experience.
• Safe driving record: No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years or DWI/DUI in last 10 years.

Working Requirements

• The worker is subject to outdoor conditions.
