Position Summary

The primary function of this safety-sensitive position is to drive flatbed trucks and curtain-side trailers to deliver products efficiently and accurately to customers. CDL Drivers must exhibit a courteous and professional attitude to our customers at all times.

Essential Functions

• Willing and able to work safely at all times. Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury to self or co-workers.
• Must satisfy all DOT requirements.
• Drive and operate semi-truck and non-CDL trucks according to applicable laws.
• Transport loads safely and timely, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Properly maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas; follow signals.
• Assist with loading and unloading, using specialized equipment when needed.
• Maintain necessary paperwork and deliver documentation upon completion.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on trucks and trailers.
• Ensure cargo matches shipping documents and is in good condition.
• Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain and update electronic logs and reports to ensure DOT compliance.
• Communicate delivery issues immediately to the branch.
• Interact courteously with customers.
• Maintain knowledge of products and inventory.
• Attend safety meetings as required.
• May work in the warehouse as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Forklift, Clamp Truck, CDL Class A Truck, Hand Truck, Pallet Jack, Stretch Wrapper, Electronic Email Software, Office Suite, Electronic logs, Supply chain software, GPS, Bar Code reader.

Requirements: Experience and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass drug tests and background checks.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Commercial Driver’s License appropriate for vehicle weight.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Minimum 1 year of CDL Class A driving experience in the past 3 years.

Physical Demands

Must be able to perform physical activities including lifting up to 40 pounds, bending, reaching, and manual dexterity. Vision and coordination requirements are specified to ensure safety and effectiveness in the role.
