The Opening

We are currently seeking an Emergency Response Truck Driver to be based out of St. Louis, MO to assist with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following PROS - Pause, Review, Observe, Start
• Performs non-emergency and emergency response activities involving biological and chemical materials
• Performs labor-intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift
• Works in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces, and at heights
• Operates light and heavy equipment including skid steers, forklifts, pressure washers
• Must be available for emergency response work after-hours and on weekends
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
• Frequent travel is required
• Have an excellent driving record

What does it take to work at Environmental Restoration?

• A minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience safely operating a vehicle requiring a CDL
• Able to drive manual transmission
• A minimum of a Class B CDL, preferably Class A with HazMat and Tanker endorsements
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and physical exam
• Legally eligible to work in the United States (verified through E-Verify)
• Willing to obtain OSHA (40 hour) Certification
• Ability to work on an on-call basis as needed
• Ability and willingness to work in a physically intensive role
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Ability to wear a full face respirator
• Regularly lift and carry 50 pounds
• Ability to interpret and follow written and oral instructions

Environmental experience, hazardous waste experience, and certifications (e.g., OSHA 40hr HAZWOPER), heavy equipment operation and maintenance experience are a plus.
