Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. in Columbus, OH, is seeking a CDL A truck driver to deliver materials on a Mon-Fri route. You will perform pre-trip inspections, load/unload with pallet jack, and follow safety policies while supporting warehouse operations as needed.

Compensation is $30/hr with a $1,000 sign-on bonus after 90 days, plus benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) with match, and paid time off. Excellent communication and customer service are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL A license and maintain DOT medical card.
• 21+ years of age.
• 1–3 years of commercial truck driving experience preferred.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs frequently and 90+ lbs occasionally.
• Strong communication and customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customers with pallet jack and dolly, ensure ticket delivery.
• Collect customer returns and verify product for credit requests.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Adhere to all safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Assist warehouse with pulling, packing, receiving, stocking materials.
• Work overtime as needed.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 6 AM to 3:30 PM or until route completion

The pay rate for this role is $30/hr depending on experience with a $1,000 sign on bonus to be paid out after 90 days.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid CDL A.
• 1-3 years of commercial truck driving experience is strongly preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements.
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
• Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements.
• Ability to independently lift 50+ pound objects frequently and 90+ pound objects occasionally.
• A background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving and delivery is a plus.
• Strong communicator with a customer-focused approach.
• Able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver materials to the customer, which includes utilizing pallet jack and two-wheel dolly to load and unload and ensuring delivery of ticket with material.
• Pick up customer returns, validating product match for credit requests.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor.
• Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking incoming material.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
