Job summary

Ferguson in Columbus, OH is seeking a CDL A truck driver to deliver materials to customers on a Monday–Friday route, typically 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM or until route completion. You will load/unload using pallet jack and maintain safety standards while delivering a professional customer experience.

The role offers home daily with no nights or weekends, a $30 per hour pay rate with a $1,000 sign-on bonus after 90 days, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL A.
• 1–3 years of commercial truck driving experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements.
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
• Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card.
• Ability to independently lift 50+ pound objects frequently and 90+ pound objects occasionally.
• A background in warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
• Strong communicator with a customer-focused approach.
• Able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to the customer, including loading/unloading with pallet jack and dolly, and ensure delivery of the ticket.
• Pick up customer returns and validate product for credit requests.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel as needed, and report issues to supervisor.
• Follow and implement all safety policies and procedures.
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, and receiving/stocking materials.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Adhere to safety regulations, including PPE usage with max weight capacity of 400 lbs.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 6 AM to 3:30 PM or until route completion

The pay rate for this role is $30/hr depending on experience with a $1,000 sign on bonus to be paid out after 90 days.

• Ability to independently lift 50+ pound objects frequently and 90+ pound objects occasionally.
• A background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving and delivery is a plus.
• Strong communicator with a customer-focused approach.
• Able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver materials to the customer, which includes utilizing pallet jack and two-wheel dolly to load and unload and ensuring delivery of ticket with material.
• Pick up customer returns, validating product match for credit requests.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor.
• Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking incoming material.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
