Job summary

Dejana Truck & Utility Equipment is seeking a CDL driver to deliver and unload completed trucks, chassis and parts to dealerships and other Dejana locations in the North East region. The role includes minor truck and trailer maintenance, route optimization, and strict safety practices.

You will read and follow directions, maintain logs, and work with a focus on safety and efficiency. A High School Diploma or GED and a valid CDL with DOT certification are required.

• Ability to read and speak English as required by federal regulations.
• Familiarity with manual logbooks for driver logs.
• Team player with a strong work ethic and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and unload completed trucks, chassis and parts to dealerships and Dejana locations.
• Perform minor truck and trailer maintenance as needed.
• Make deliveries within the North East Region of the US.
• Use maps and directions to ensure economical use of time and equipment.
• Accurately maintain daily driver log book.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Maintain a clean driving record with high safety standards.
• Assess site locations prior to delivery for safe access and operations.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

As a CDL B Driver under the general supervision of the Logistics Specialist you will deliver and unload completed trucks chassis and parts to dealerships as well as other Dejana locations

You will also be responsible for minor truck and trailer maintenance Deliveries are made within the North East Region of the US

Effectively using maps and directions to ensure most economical use of time and equipmentAccurately maintaining daily driver log bookPerforming pre check and post check inspections of vehicles as minor maintenanceHaving good communication skillswritten and verbal and the ability to follow instructionsMaintaining a clean driving record with a high level of safety awareness on the roadwaysProperly assessing site locations in advance of truck deliverypickup to ensure adequate access for safe operationsPerforming all responsibilities and duties during inclement weather within safe operating standardsPerforming other duties as assigned

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of experience

CERTIFICATIONS

• Valid and clean CDL Class A or B with no Air Brake Restriction
• Current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is primarily performed in a commercial vehicle while traveling to and from customer and company locations The driver will be responsible for operating vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations FMCSR and Department of Transportation DOT requirementsThe position requires frequent sitting while driving as well as regular standing walking climbing on and off equipment and loading and unloading materials Employees must be able to safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity hand eye coordination and attention to detailWork is performed year round and may involve exposure to a variety of weather conditions and temperatures Duties are conducted both on the road and outdoors and require the ability to work safely in changing environmental conditions
