Job summary

Dejana Truck & Utility Equipment is seeking an Industrial Vehicle Painter to prep, sand, and paint trucks and vans. You will prime, touch up, and mix paints with spray equipment and brushes, ensuring color formulas and conditions meet specifications.

The role requires following instructions, being detail oriented, and sustaining production deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Work involves operating hand and power tools, standing in a warehouse environment, and exposure to paint

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years experience painting automotive or heavy vehicle equipment in manufacturing/industrial or automotive body shop is a plus.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Self motivated and able to meet manufacturing deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to operate hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Prep, sand, and paint Dejana trucks and vans.
• Prime paint and touch up using power spray equipment and brushes.
• Mix paints to proper color formulas, viscosity, and consistency.
• Inspect products before, during, and after painting to ensure specifications are met.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

This is a full time position A Industrial Vehicle Painter is responsible for prepping sanding and painting Dejana trucks and vans Prime paint and touchup vehicles with power spray equipment and brushes Mix all types of paints for proper color formula conditions viscosity and consistency Perform titrations and mix or adjust chemicals as necessary in paint or other processes Sand wash and condition parts as necessary Light bodywork may be required Inspect product before during after paint process to ensure specifications are being met The above list reflects the general details necessary to describe the principle and essential functions of the position and shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned for the position

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1 3 years experience in the painting of automotive or heavy vehicleequipment in a manufacturing industrial or automotive body shop is a plus
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Capability to be detail oriented and organized
• Capability to be self motivated and able to meet manufacturing deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to operate hand tools and power tools

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Position requires standing on hard surface with a substantial amount of pushing pulling and lifting
• Position requires ability to frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds
• Position requires moderately difficult manipulative and hand eye coordination skills
• Position requires seeing objects closely
• Position requires the ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption and attend to tasks for 20 to 45 minutes at a time
• This job is indoors in a traditional manufacturingwarehouse setting
• Activities will include both sitting and standing
• These activities will occur in the production areas and inside paint booths
• There may be exposure to hazardous fumes from paint and paint mixing ingredients
• There will be varying temperatures between different areas up to 100 degrees at times
• There will be normal manufacturing sounds with some background noise
