Job summary

Lansing Building Products is hiring a CDL Driver in Sterling, VA to support daily deliveries and warehouse duties. The shift typically starts around 7:00 AM and ends around 4:30 PM, with no weekend work in many locations. You’ll interact with customers and represent Lansing on job sites.

You will split time between delivering and stocking, operate a moffett forklift, and assist with inventory. CDL B or A license with a clean record is required, plus forklift certification, ability to lift 70 lb,

Qualifications

• CDL B or A license required; clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work independently.
• Experience with building products is helpful; strong customer service.
• At least one year of driving experience; forklift certification beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement and represents Lansing to customers.
• Split time between deliveries and warehouse duties.
• Operate a moffett forklift to make deliveries.
• Interact with customers and crews at job sites; provide outstanding service.
• Keep warehouse clean and orderly; may perform cycle counts or inside sales tasks.

CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)

CDL Driver Responsibilities:

• Lives the mission statement
• Actsas a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites
• Provides exceptional serviceto each Lansing customer…and constantly strive to improve that level of service
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
• This is a "get-the-job-done" kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions notparticularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications:

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position
• CDL Driver must have a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Experience withbuilding productsis very helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At leastoneyear ofdriving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
