Job summary

Lansing Building Products in Rhode Island is seeking a CDL Driver to join our team. The role involves delivering building materials to job sites, while also supporting warehouse operations and customer service on the road.

You will split time between deliveries and warehouse tasks, operate a moffett forklift, interact with customers and crews at job sites, and help keep the facility organized. A CDL license and forklift certification are required, along with a clean driving record and at least

• At least one year of driving experience.
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck.
• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Experience with building products is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Split time between deliveries and warehouse.
• Use a moffett forklift to make deliveries.
• Interact with customers and crews at job sites.
• Provide exceptional service to Lansing customers.
• Keep warehouse clean and orderly.
• May perform other duties such as cycle counts or inside sales.

HOME EVERY NIGHT!

CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)

CDL Driver Responsibilities:

• Lives the mission statement
• Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites
• Provides exceptional serviceto each Lansing customer…and constantly strive to improve that level of service
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
• This is a "get-the-job-done" kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications:

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position
• CDL Driver must have a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Experience with building products is very helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At least one year of driving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
