Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL Driver to join our team and support deliveries and warehouse duties. The role follows a typical day starting around 7:00 AM and ending around 4:30 PM, with generally no weekend work.

Candidates must hold a CDL B or A license with a clean driving record and moffett forklift experience, plus the ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Prior building-products experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• CDL B or A license and a clean driving record.
• Experience operating a moffett forklift and piggyback truck.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work independently.
• One year of driving experience with a customer-service focus.

Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement.
• Acts as a Lansing representative delivering outstanding customer service.
• Splits time between deliveries and warehouse duties.
• Operates a moffett forklift to make deliveries.
• Interacts with customers and job site crews.
• Maintains clean and orderly warehouse.
• Willing to perform other duties such as cycle counts or inside sales.

HOME EVERY NIGHT!

CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location).

CDL Driver Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement
• Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites
• Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer…and constantly strive to improve that level of service
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
• This is a "get-the-job-done" kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position
• CDL Driver must have a clean driving record
• Have moffett forklift experience
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Experience with building products is very helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At least one year of driving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
