Job summary

QXO is a leading distributor and installer of building products, based in New Bedford, MA. We are seeking a professional CDL driver to perform touch-freight tasks, pre-inspect and load material, and ensure safe operation on site.

The role requires a valid CDL (Class A/B) and at least one year of verifiable driving experience, with readiness for outdoor work and teamwork across shifts. Salary ranges from USD 26.52 to USD 36.88 per hour, with benefits including a 401(k) match, health/dental/vision

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, lifting/moving/carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, verify load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect site for safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with dispatcher for timely delivery.
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures and wear PPE.

What you'll do:

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
