Job summary

QXO in Burnsville, MN is hiring a driver for touch‑freight and site loading operations. You will inspect loads, set up job parameters, and maintain communication with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries while following DOT and safety procedures.

• NCCCO certification preferred; training available.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, including lifting, moving, or carrying products over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect site for safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with dispatcher for timely deliveries.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures and wear PPE.

What you'll do:

• Perform touch‑freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre‑inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE

What you'll bring:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class B CDL license in good standing
• NCCCO certification or experience with a boom truck preferred but will train
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
