Job summary

Altium Packaging in Turners Falls, MA seeks an experienced truck driver for first shift. You will load and unload, manage trailers, and ensure accuracy of BOLs, logs, and safety compliance.

A CDL license and OSHA forklift certification are required, with at least 5 years of driving experience and a clean record. This role offers a full-time schedule with reasonable mandatory overtime, comprehensive benefits, and a competitive pay range aligned with state regulations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and secure product per customer requirements.
• Maintain truck operating efficiency by performing preventive maintenance and scheduling repairs.
• Record driver daily log sheets and ensure trailer is sealed with correct BOL.
• Keep trucks and trailers clean and on time for customers.
• Adhere to safety standards and company DOT requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.
• Comply with DOT and company operating standards.
• Load and unload trucks and secure product in accordance with customer requirements.
• Maintain truck operating efficiency by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and scheduling repairs.
• Ensure the trailer is sealed and the driver has the correct BOL.
• Keep trucks and trailers clean at all times.
• Record driver daily log sheets.
• Always be on time and courteous to customers.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed driver and a good driving record over the last 3 years.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Knowledge of DOT Regulations.
• CDL license.
• Current OSHA forklift driving certification.

Targeted Pay Range

$23.75 - $30.34
