Job description

Starting Pay: $24-$26 per hour, depends on experience

Required Education: High School Diploma / GED

Required Experience: At least 2 years of driving experience

Job Requirements: CDL Class A license with manual transmission endorsement. Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmissions. Clean driving record and ability to obtain and maintain a medical card. Minimum 3 years of driving experience.

Work Schedule: Local runs, home every night, with start times around 5 or 6 am until 3 or 4 pm, depending on scheduled runs. No overnight or over-the-road work. Work involves lugger and roll-off truck operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Wait to be loaded by either Alter or customer and drive loads to destination.
2. Drive semi-trucks within the yard to move scrap material.
3. Operate yard equipment for loading or moving scrap material as needed.
4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
2. CDL Class A or B license with 1-3 years of verifiable experience.
3. Ability to lift 30-50 lbs regularly and over 100 lbs with a two-person lift.
4. Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous materials is a plus.
