QXO is seeking a CDL Driver (Class A or B) to safely transport building materials to customer locations and job sites. This role blends driving with hands-on loading, unloading, and securing loads, while ensuring DOT/FMCSA compliance and safety standards.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, customer-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, physically active environment. Must have 12+ months of verifiable CDL driving experience, a valid Class A or B license, and be 21 or older.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Transport building materials to customer locations and job sites safely.
• Load, unload, secure, and verify materials.
• Pre-inspect the truck and verify the load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher for timely deliveries.
• Follow DOT/FMCSA regulations and always wear PPE.

What You'll Do

The CDL Driver (Class A or B) is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional transportation of building materials, construction products, and equipment to customer locations and job sites. This role combines commercial driving responsibilities with hands-on support in loading, unloading, securing, and verifying materials while ensuring compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety standards. Depending on the business unit, deliveries may include oversized, specialized, or engineered building components. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, customer-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs


• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load


• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site


• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading


• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products


• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
