Job summary

QXO in Tupelo, MS, is seeking a CDL driver to support our growing building products distribution. You will perform touch-freight tasks, pre-inspect trucks, load materials, and verify loads to ensure accurate deliveries.

The role requires a Class A CDL and at least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions, maintain safety standards, and coordinate with dispatch to meet delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe loading/unloading environment.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and wear PPE.
