Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL Driver to deliver and support our customers and operations. The role blends field deliveries with warehouse work, requiring safe driving, forklift use, and strong customer service.

The position emphasizes being a reliable Lansing ambassador, maintaining a clean work area, and adaptability to additional tasks as needed. CDL-B or -A and a year of driving are expected.

Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license required.
• Clean driving record.
• Moffett forklift experience.
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus.
• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Experience with building products is helpful.
• Strong customer service and a positive attitude.
• At least one year of driving experience.
• Forklift certification and piggyback truck experience.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service.
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse.
• Uses a Moffett forklift to make deliveries.
• Interacts with customers and crews at job sites.
• Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer and strives to improve the level of service.
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly.
• May be asked to perform other functions beyond the posting, such as cycle counts or inside sales.

HOME EVERY NIGHT!

CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location).

CDL Driver Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement
• Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites
• Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer...and constantly strive to improve that level of service
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
• This is a "get-the-job-done" kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position
• CDL Driver must have a clean driving record
• Have moffett forklift experience
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Experience with building products is very helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At least one year of driving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
