Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL Driver to join our team in Billings, MT. The role focuses on safe delivery of building products, front-line customer service, and light warehouse duties.

Responsibilities include operating a moffett forklift, delivering to job sites, and maintaining a clean warehouse. CDL B (or A) and a clean driving record are required; forklift certification is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license required.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Experience driving a delivery vehicle.
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck is preferred.
• Experience with building products is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Live the Lansing mission in daily work.
• Serve as a front-line Lansing representative with customers.
• Split time between deliveries and warehouse duties.
• Operate a moffett forklift for deliveries.
• Interact with customers on job sites and respond to needs.
• Maintain high level of service and strive to improve customer experience.
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as needed, such as cycle counts or inside sales.

HOME EVERY NIGHT! CDL Driver's day usually starts around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)

CDL Driver Responsibilities

Lives the mission statement

Acts as a front‑line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service

Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse

Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries

Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites

Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer…and constantly strive to improve that level of service

Keeps warehouse clean and orderly

This is a "get-the-job-done" kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications

CDL B (or A) license is required for this position

CDL Driver must have a clean driving record

Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team

Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds

Experience with building products is very helpful

Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude

At least one year of driving experience

Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
