Job summary

Lansing Building Products is hiring a CDL Driver to join its team. The role involves delivering materials and supporting warehouse operations, with a strong emphasis on customer service and safety. CDL A is required and a clean driving record is essential.

The driver will be on a day shift with responsibilities split between deliveries and warehouse tasks. Typical day starts around 7:00 AM and ends about 4:30 PM, with generally no weekend work.

Qualifications

• CDL A license required and a clean driving record.
• Experience operating a moffett forklift is preferred.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills are essential.
• Minimum one year of driving experience.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds and work independently as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers and assist in the warehouse.
• Interact with customers and job-site crews to ensure service excellence.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse area.
• Fulfill additional duties as needed to get the job done.

HOME EVERY NIGHT! CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)

CDL Driver Responsibilities

Lives the mission statement

Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service

Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse

Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries

Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites

Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer…and constantly strive to improve that level of service

Keeps warehouse clean and orderly

This is a \"get-the-job-done\" kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications

CDL A license is required for this position

CDL Driver must have a clean driving record

Have moffett forklift experience

Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team

Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds

Experience with building products is very helpful

Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude

At least one year of driving experience

Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
