Job summary

Lansing Building Products in Sterling, VA is seeking a CDL Driver to join our team. The role combines delivering building materials to job sites with warehouse duties, Monday through Friday, typically 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekend work at some locations.

You will operate a moffett forklift, interact with customers, and uphold Lansing's commitment to service and safety while contributing to a reliable, customer-focused supply chain.

Qualifications

• CDL B or A license required.
• Clean driving record.
• Moffett forklift experience.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• At least one year of driving experience.
• Experience with building products is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to job sites and assist in the warehouse.
• Represent Lansing Building Products with exceptional customer service.
• Operate a moffett forklift and assist with loading/unloading.
• Interact with customers and job site crews.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.

HOME EVERY NIGHT!

CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location).

CDL Driver Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement
• Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites
• Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer...and constantly strive to improve that level of service
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
• This is a "get-the-job-done" kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position
• CDL Driver must have a clean driving record
• Have moffett forklift experience
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Experience with building products is very helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At least one year of driving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
