Job summary

LAZ Parking in Long Beach, CA is seeking an experienced Transportation Dispatcher to coordinate drivers and services. The role demands clear communication, multitasking, and strong knowledge of the local area to ensure timely and safe dispatch operations.

Applicants should hold a valid CDL (A or B), DOT medical certification, and at least 2 years of dispatcher experience. A high school diploma is preferred, with the ability to work a full-time daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL
• DOT Medical Certification
• Minimum 2 years of dispatcher experience with a Class C license
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• K-4 DMV printout (issued within the last 30 days) required
• Recent Passenger Commercial Vehicle Driving experience

Responsibilities

• Schedules and dispatches drivers.
• Answers calls from clients and schedules services.
• Maintains records, logs, and schedules of calls for transit services, dispatched drivers, and cancellations.
• Prepares reports on all activities during shifts.
• Directs drivers via radio communication.
• Tracks issues/concerns using a CRM system.
• Reports service and performance issues to management.
• Provides excellent customer service to clients, customers and employees.
