Job summary

Lowe’s in Walton, KY is seeking a customer-focused Delivery Associate who loads, delivers, and installs appliances, coordinates with drivers, and assists customers at their homes or at the store. You will load merchandise, verify items, and ensure on-time deliveries while upholding Lowe’s service standards.

A CDL may be required for certain routes; you must meet safety and DOT regulations, pass a medical certificate, and maintain accurate delivery records using store systems and devices.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL License – In locations with multi-unit CMV (tractor trailer & flatbed) a class A license is required to operate.
• Class B CDL License – In locations with single-unit CMV (tandem flatbed) a class A or B license with air break endorsement is required to operate.
• Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
• Ability to pass MVR screen in accordance with company requirements.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction)
• Must be 21 years of age
• Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe’s customer service policies, procedures and programs.
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Listens to and responds to customer questions by walking them through projects when necessary.
• Communicates information regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information.
• Coordinates delivery-related activities and communicates with the truck driver to ensure timely delivery.
